Hestehoved beach has the warmest water temperatures in the country and is very child-friendly, with beautiful South Sea sand and shallow water depth. It is connected to the campsite, ice house, holiday homes, restaurant, marina and outdoor activities such as volleyball and mini golf.
Beaches
Hestehovedet beach is very child-friendly, with fine sand, shallow water depth and high water temperatures. Here you will also find one of Denmark's longest bathing bridges (and probably one of Denmark's most photographed bathing bridges) with a cozy bathhouse at the end. The jetty has been beautifully renovated and expanded in 2022.
Kitesurf & Paddle Lolland
At Hestehovedet in Nakskov is the Kitesurf & Paddle water sports center where you can try different water sports from kitesurfing and stand-up paddling to kayaking. Depending on the sport, they offer courses for both beginners and advanced, equipment rental and guided tours.
Playground and beach square
The new playground at Hestehovedet near Nakskov includes two large seals that you can climb into and slide down from. The square is also home to the new beach square, where the Nakskov Girl sits and looks out over the fjord.
Restaurant Fjorden
Here you can dine with one of Denmark's best views. Located on a hill overlooking Nakskov Fjord and Hestehovedet Beach and water in almost every direction.
Campsite and holiday homes
Stay at the campsite, where you'll find lovely holiday homes, an ice house and outdoor activities.
Krible Krable Bridge
The new crabbing bridge is located at the marina on Hestehovedet. From the bridge, children can catch crabs and learn more about the aquatic life of the fjord. At the end is a new information center for Naturpark Nakskov Fjord.
Marina
Dock your boat close to the holiday treats on the horse head.
A small bridge leads across to the island of Kuddeholm, close to Hestehovedet beach. A cozy place to go for a walk.
