Christmas in Nakskov
Snow-covered cobblestone streets, a small Christmas train chugging past and the smell of roasted almonds, made with mittens on. The large Christmas tree in the square welcomes you to the Christmas spirit in Nakskov.
The Christmas tree is lit
The town gathers around the Christmas tree on Axeltorv every year when it is lit, with singing and candy bags for the children.
In 2025, the Christmas tree will be lit on November 21st.
Santa Claus arrives at Dampmøllen at 5:00 p.m. and from here there is a procession to the square, where the tree is lit at 5:30 p.m. Afterwards there are bags of candy for all children – as is tradition.

Christmas market with small stalls in cozy cabins inspired by the city's historic architecture. Here you can smell the aroma of roasted almonds and delicious delicacies with a good Christmas spirit.
